How do I register?

Go to Give 2 websiteto register. Enter your details, agree to the terms and conditions by checking the tick box and then select 'register' in the bottom right hand corner.

I've forgotten my password. What should I do?

When you attempt to log in to the Give 2 website, you will be given an option to retrieve your password.

How do I donate?

If you are using Give 2 for the first time:

  1. Go to Give 2 website and select 'donate'.
  2. Use the 'find charities', 'find charity gifts' or 'price range' drop down boxes to browse charities by a specific criteria.
  3. On the results page, click on the heading to find out more about the charity or project.
  4. Once you've made your selection, click 'donate once' or 'donate every pay-cycle'.
  5. If you haven't logged in you will be prompted to either register as a new user or log in.

You can check the current set up of your donation pledges at any time, by clicking the Workplace Giving folder on the left hand menu.

How should I choose a charity?

There are hundreds of worthwhile charities and projects on Give 2. Your decision to support one charity over another is usually based on your interest in the cause. Some useful questions to ask yourself include:

  • What am I passionate about?
  • What do I feel most strongly about?
  • What is the problem I'd like to fix?
  • Who are the people I want to help?

How do I change the amount that I am donating each pay?

It's easy to change or delete the amounts you are donating each pay:

  1. On the left hand side, select 'Workplace Giving'
  2. Modify quantity / Delete the existing donation by clicking on the trashcan symbol to the right .

How often can I change my donation?

You can change your donation as often as you like. However, please be aware that changes must be made before the cut-off date for each pay cycle. Otherwise your changes will be implemented in the next pay period.

The cut-off dates are displayed on 'My Account' page. To visit 'My Account', simply click on your name in the top right hand corner.

Can I cancel a donation?

You can cancel a donation but the cancellation will only take effect from your next pay cycle cut-off date (displayed under Workplace Giving). Donations cannot retrospectively be cancelled once processed through payroll.

What if I go on leave?

If you want to stop your charity donations while you are on leave, you will need to cancel them on Give 2.

  1. Log in to Give 2
  2. On the left hand side, select 'Workplace Giving'
  3. Delete the existing donation by clicking on the symbol to the right .
  4. Don't forget to set up the donation again on your return.

I would like to donate to a charity that is not on the Give 2 website.

Charities must meet certain criteria to join the program, including registration with the Australian Taxation Office as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) Item 1 and Tax Concession Charity (TCC) status. You can check to see if a charity is DGR item 1 by searching here.

If your charity is not listed on the Give 2 website and they meet the criteria, email the details to info@originfoundation.com.au and we will follow up with them to see if they are interested in joining.

How can I track how much money I've donated?

The Give 2 website keeps a history of your donations. Simply click on your name in the top right hand corner and select 'donation history' in the left hand navigation to view your history. Donations will also feature on your payment summary at the end of each financial year.

Can I donate goods instead of money?

Unfortunately, it's not possible to donate goods through the Give 2 website. However, individual teams may run various programs throughout the year where goods can be donated, e.g. books and toys at Christmas.

Items such as stationery, technology and furniture which are no longer required at Origin sites and offices may be of value to Origin Foundation partners. Please email info@originfoundation.com.au.

Is my donation anonymous?

Your donation is anonymous unless you have chosen to 'opt in' to communications from the charities you support.

To approve the charity or charities having access to your details, you need to:

  1. Log in to Give 2.
  2. Go to 'my account' by clicking on your name in the top right hand corner.
  3. Click 'edit account'.
  4. Select the check box which says 'I would like to hear more from the charities I've supported'.

Will I receive a receipt?

Donations are deducted from your pre-tax salary and will be included on your Origin payment summary at the end of each financial year. You can also view the history of your donations by going to 'my account' on the Give 2 website.

What happens if my pay doesn't cover my donations?

If your pay doesn't cover your donations, it will not be deducted in the pay cycle.

I have been making regular donations towards a specific charity project. This project has now been removed from the Give 2 website. What happens to my donations?

You will receive notification if your project has been removed from the Give 2 website. At this point, you will have the opportunity to change or remove your donation. If you do not change or remove your donation, it will be automatically redirected to the charity's general donation fund.

I currently participate in Child Sponsorship through workplace giving. How does child sponsorship work on the Give 2 website?

If you currently sponsor a child outside of the Origin Foundation Workplace Giving program, Give 2, please contact the charity, inform them that you'd like to make your donations via Give 2, and ask them to supply you with a Supporter ID which you will then need to add into your Account.

  1. Log in to Give 2.
  2. Go to 'my account' by clicking on your name in the top right hand corner.

  4. Click 'supporter ids' in the bottom right hand corner.

How do I sponsor a child on the Give 2 website?

What is a Supporter ID?

A Supporter ID is generated by a charity and it allows them to correctly allocate your donation.

I'm taking leave (maternity leave, annual leave, long service leave etc), is it possible to put my child sponsorship on hold?

Please contact the charity to arrange another payment method for your child sponsorship.

I'm leaving Origin, what happens to my child sponsorship?

You will need to contact the charity to organise alternative methods of payment.

I'm leaving Origin. How do I stop my donations?

You can cancel your donations while you are working at Origin:

  1. Log in to Give 2
  2. On the left hand side, select 'Workplace Giving'
  3. Delete the existing donation by clicking on the trashcan symbol to the right .

Regardless of whether you have cancelled your donations, all future donations will be automatically cancelled from the date your employment at Origin ceases.

I'm leaving Origin. How do I remove my details from Give 2?

Your personal details will be automatically removed once you cease being paid by Origin. Your donation history data will be retained for cumulative reporting.
